Adjust tension easily

Wondering how to easily adjust the tension of a zipscreen fabric? With CLIPzip®, the process becomes intuitive. Our clips easily attach to the side guide, allowing you to modulate their distance based on screen width and wind load.

This means you can correct and perfect the tension directly on-site, ensuring a flawless result the first time and boosting your productivity.

The technology

The secret to CLIPzip®’s efficiency lies in its patented technology. These aren’t simple springs, but adjustable force clips for zipscreen guides, designed by our Research and Development team with a thermoplastic material ensuring maximum fabric smoothness during opening and closing operations, thus guaranteeing optimal performance.

Different models are available for specific applications, including the new push-in clip for side guides, whose innovative vertical insertion further simplifies assembly. Each component is designed to work synergistically, ensuring a stable and long-lasting hold.

Fast attachment

Flexibility is key. Thanks to its modular structure, CLIPzip® is an attachment system for vertical and horizontal shades that adapts to any project, without configuration limits.

The guides are supplied ready-to-use with precise instructions for clip attachment, making assembly quick and error-proof. It’s the ideal solution to increase your shade installation productivity, reducing downtime.

How do CLIPzip® clips work to adjust fabric tension?

The clips are modular and can be positioned at variable distances along the side guide. This allows the installer to distribute tension differently, increasing or decreasing traction at specific points to achieve a perfectly flat fabric surface, directly during installation.

What is the "push-in" system and what are its benefits?

The “push-in” is our new patented clip model featuring vertical insertion into the guide, instead of lateral. This innovation, developed by our R&D team, further simplifies and speeds up the assembly phase for manufacturers, reducing fabrication times.

Is the CLIPzip® system suitable for all types of installations?

Yes. Its modular nature makes it an extremely versatile attachment system, perfect for both vertical and horizontal installations. It’s designed to adapt to different screen widths and wind loads, always offering a reliable, tailor-made solution.

Are the rails supplied pre-punched?

The rails are punched directly on our production line with a 10cm pitch. This allows for the simple and fast installation of the Clips. Customers can specify the punching pitch if a wider distance is preferred. Rails are also supplied pre-punched at one end to allow for the installation of the end cap.

Are the rails supplied with the clips already installed?

Thanks to our system, the customer can decide how many clips are needed to adjust the tension of their specific zip screen. Therefore, the clips are supplied unassembled.

Can I receive the rail punched at the ends for the installation of end caps?

Certainly. This allows you to cut the rail in the center, for example, to speed up assembly operations at your production site.

Do the clips deform permanently?

Clip deformation is minimal over time. The special thermoplastic polymer used allows for elastic recovery when the clip is no longer under tension.

Can the rails be shipped in rolls?

For custom lengths over 7m, the rails can be rolled onto Euro-pallets thanks to the unique consistency of the raw material used. Once delivered, rolled rails must be immediately cut and straightened back to their original linear state using appropriate rollers.

What is the standard rail size? Is it possible to receive them in custom sizes?

The standard length is 5m, but thanks to the production process developed by Plastex, we can supply rails in custom sizes to suit your specific needs.

Is it possible to calculate the lateral tension required for my zip screen system?

Certainly. Specific tests have been conducted to determine the force in Newtons (N) exerted by each specific type of clip. Contact us for more information on this.

Is it possible to reduce tension near the cassette to prevent the zip from coming out?

The innovative Batterfly solution allows you to reduce the tension that often builds up near the cassette (headbox). Thanks to this new concept, zip blowout will be a thing of the past.

Is CLIPzip® compatible with all existing zips on the market?

CLIPzip® is compatible with zips of various thicknesses, from micro-zips to spiral zips with a 2.5mm thickness. During production, we can modulate the groove width required by a specific zip.

How does CLIPzip® behave in the presence of sudden temperature changes?

The raw materials used have been engineered to ensure a linear expansion coefficient of 0.00007mm/mm °C, even in the presence of strong thermal fluctuations.

What is the fire resistance rating of the product?

The product complies with the UL94 V2 standard.

Does the product have a traceability system?

A numerical code is printed on the back of the rail, allowing us to trace all production data.

What product warranty do you provide?

We offer a 10-year warranty, provided the product is used correctly and for the purpose for which it was designed and developed.
